Our events are rooted in community, opportunity, and connection, and we believe that includes giving back directly to the communities that keep our Native Hawaiian culture alive.
The Waiuli Ocean Festival is Hui Hoʻoleimaluō's annual community celebration of the Keaukaha coastline and the people, practices, and places that make it home. Now in its 16th year, the festival will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2026, bringing together keiki, ʻohana, cultural practitioners, and the broader community for surfing, hands-on cultural and environmental learning, and opportunities to deepen connections to our ocean. Rooted in mālama ʻāina and ʻike Hawaiʻi, the festival is dedicated to protecting the resources of Keaukaha while passing down the knowledge, traditions, and values that have shaped this coastline for generations.
